The Center of Excellence for Prevention and Caring for Persons with Depressive Symptoms was endorsed by the Department of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing in March 2008.  The Center is dedicated to providing education, researches, and nursing services to meet the challenges of prevention and caring for persons with depressive symptoms and their families.

Our objectives are to:

1. Increase the Faculty’s expertise in prevention of depressive disorders and in caring for persons with depressive symptoms and their families of all age groups and vulnerable persons.
2. Consistently provide quality services as set in our healthcare policy to serve communities, universal population and persons diagnosed with depressive disorders and their families in regards to prevention, intervention, caring and promoting rehabilitation. 
3. Increase research productivity in prevention and caring for persons with depressive symptoms.
