Message from the Dean

Established in 1896 under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Sripatcharintra, the Queen of King Rama V, the Faculty of Nursing at Mahidol University was Thailand's first nursing school. Thanks to the constant support and generosity of Thailand's royal family, the Faculty has continued to grow and develop.

Our development continues with the recent construction of the Mahidol Adulyadej-Sri Nagarindra Building, our Faculty's new building at Mahidol University's Salaya Campus. This iconic building was funded through the gracious support of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, in recognition and in honor of the Princess Mother, who was one of our most distinguished alumni. Our Faculty is also greatly honored to receive faculty development scholarships from Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. We are truly grateful for the gracious support of the royal family and thank them for their benevolence.

The Faculty of Nursing offers quality education through its Bachelor of Nursing Science and Master of Nursing Science programs. It also provides two doctoral programs – a Doctor of Nursing Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing (International program). In addition, we also offer a wide range of national and international training courses to improve the nursing skills and support patient, family, and community care.

For over a century, we have prepared students to become leaders in nursing and health care. Our graduates are defined by their critical thinking skills, ethics, leadership, and positive attitude. Our students also gain valuable clinical experience at Siriraj hospital - one of Asia's top tertiary care hospitals.

On the global scale, and in recognition of our commitment to promote the improvement of education, practice, and research in nursing and midwifery, our Faculty has been a designated World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Nursing and Midwifery Development since 1996. We also provide opportunities for students to enhance their intercultural knowledge in a variety of settings through collaboration and cross-cultural exchanges with several international institutions.

Our Faculty is represented by an exceptional group of students, professional faculty members, dedicated staff, and supportive alumni. Together, we have dedicated ourselves to the development of our Faculty and to becoming one of the world's leading nursing academic institutions.

Thank you for visiting our website. If you have any inquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to welcoming you to our Faculty.
