Program Structure

The program of study requires approximately three or four years to complete. In the first year of the program the main emphasis is on coursework. During the second year, students prepare for the doctoral qualifying examination. Upon successfully passing the qualifying exam, PhD candidacy is contingently achieved. The process of conducting a doctoral dissertation then starts onward. The final requirement is the presentation and publication of a dissertation.

Program Curriculum (for 2023 onwards)

The number of credits required for the program is at least 48 credits. The curriculum structure consists of:

Note: Students may take additional courses with non-credits that are equivalent to graduate level offered by any Thai or international program at Mahidol University or other university/institute according to the student’s interest with the approval of the advisor and the program administrative committee.

Note: Students might register in any graduate courses offered at the Faculty of Nursing or Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital or other faculties/institutions under supervision of academic advisor and will be considered as elective courses in order to fulfill the requirements of this program.
