HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha opened The ICOWHI 19th International Congress
Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University organized The ICOWHI 19th International Congress on “Women’s Health 2012: Partnering for a Brighter Global Future. Associate Professor Dr. Fongcum Tilokskulchai, Dean of Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University was a chairperson in the opening preconference in the topic “Leadership for women's health: Doctoral student colloquium” on November 13,2012.
On November 14, 2012 HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha was a chairperson in the opening The ICOWHI 19th International Congress on “Women’s Health 2012: Partnering for a Brighter Global Future”. Associate Professor Dr. Fongcum Tilokskulchai, Dean of Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University and organizing committees welcomed HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha. Associate Professor Siriorn Sindhu, President of the International Women's Health (ICOWHI) presented “Taylor and Francis Award for Exemplary Work on Women’s Health” to HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha in order to praise pastoral duties in criminal justice and parallelism in women for nationally and internationally.
HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha declaimed “Enhancing live of female inmates and end of violence against women”. HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha mentioned in significant and method for health promotion in women and children especially female inmates, women and violent victim children. These risky groups desired in holistic care and solve. HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha emphasized the necessary collaboration in policy, operation and health organization levels. After that, HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha opened glorify exhibition of Somdej Phrasrisavarinthira Boromarajthevee, The Royal Grandmother and academic matter exhibition. HRH Princess Bajrakitiyabha worshiped royal portrait of the Royal Grandmother and reruns glorify exhibition in topic “150 year Royal birth of Somdej Phrasrisavarinthira Boromarajthevee, The Royal Grandmother” , which showed biography and royal duties in nursing.
This conference organized by Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University joined with International Council on Women’s Health Issues (ICOWHI) and WHO Collaborating Centre for Research and Training on Gender and Women’s Health (CRTGWH), Khon Kaen University on November 14-16,2012 at The Emerald Bangkok Hotel, Bangkok. This objectives of the conference were to share the issues in women health and girls in variety view points for academics, practitioners and policymaker from many professionals both in nationally and internationally, to support integration of knowledge from research to development of quality of life in women health and equality in society, to enhance the strengthen of health promotion network both in nationally and internationally, and to lead into policy formulation and system identifies that effected authority and women’s health. Attendees consisted of register nurses, foreign academic staffs from 33 countries and academic staffs in Thailand. |
