Conference: The potential development of administration for Operative nurses
The advancement of perioperative nursing service system relies on science and art in working to achieve quality of care. Surgical Nursing Administration is necessary to be developed. Nowadays, most of the surgery room executives assume a position before they were prepared. They need times to adapt and learn for reaching good and appropriate roles. At the same time, they may had important situations to improve the management ability in the operating room hastily. Otherwise many problems will happen such as Personnel management, Time management and expenses. Therefore the surgery room executives should have opportunities to get ready for new roles appropriately. Furthermore, ASEAN Community will become in 2015 that make cooperation in economy, society, culture and stability. Increase competitiveness as perioperative nurses who step into executive positions should perceive and give precedence to develop perioperative nursing service system. Department of Surgical Nursing, Faculty of Nursing arranged the conference "The potential development of administration for Operative nurses" on November 30 – December 2, 2013 at Ramada Plaza Menam Riverside Bangkok. This conference arranged for Registered Nurses who are becoming in the top manager or act in the top manager to bring knowledge and experiences from the conference to use in perioperative nursing management, maintain the quality of perioperative nursing and bring about high efficiency for organization, clients and their family. We gained an accreditation from Professor Prasit Watanapa, Deputy Dean and Director of Siriraj Medical School to be a lecturer in topic "Human Resource Management which the executive must know". In the Panel discussion in topic "Impact of ASEAN Community to manage doctor and nurse professions", we gained the accreditations from Khun Nopporn Adchariyavanich, Deputy Head of ASEAN Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Professor Emeritus Dr.Wichit Srisuphan, President of the Nursing Council and Associate Professor Sureeporn Punpuing, Director of Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University to be the lecturers.
