Signed Memorandum of Understanding on Breastfeeding Advocacy and Practice Course for Professional Nurses Project

On January 24, 2014 Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council, Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University cooperated with United Nations Children's Fund, Thailand signed Memorandum of Understanding on Breastfeeding Advocacy and Practice Course for Professional Nurses Project at Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council. Emeritus professor Dr.Wichit Srisuphan, President of Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council, Associate Professor Dr.Fongcum Tilokskulchai, Dean of Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University and Mr.Bijaya Rajbhandari, Representative, UNICEF Thailand were signatory and Associate Professor Pensri Rabieb, Secretary of Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council, Associate Professor Kannikar Vichitsukorn, President of The Training Center for Breastfeeding and Child Nutrition, Faculty of Nursing, committee of The Training Center for Breastfeeding and Child Nutrition, academic staffs and Khun Porntida Pattong, Representative, UNICEF Thailand were eye-witness. The objectives of this project were to promote Breastfeeding Advocacy and Practice Course for Professional Nurses in Thailand for 3 years, determine ability of registered nurses in public hospital, private hospital, primary care unit and establishment to help mother to do correct breastfeeding.
