The 1st Asian Congress in Nursing Education: Transformative Nursing Education for Global Health
Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University cooperated with Thailand and Midwifery Council, The Nurses' association of Thailand, Thailand Nursing Honor Society at-Large, World Health Organization Regional Office for South-East Asia and Dean Consortium of Faculties of Nursing Under Patronage of Ministry of Education arranged The 1st Asian Congress in Nursing Education: Transformative Nursing Education for Global Health during June 4-6, 2014 at Rama Garden Hotel, Bangkok.
On June 4, 2014 Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn was a chairman in the opening The 1st Asian Congress in Nursing Education: Transformative Nursing Education for Global Health. Professor Rajata Rajatanavin, President of Mahidol University, Associate Professor Dr.Fongcum Tilokskulchai, Dean of Faculty of Nursing, administrative team and nursing students of Faculty of Nursing welcomed HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
The objective of this congress were to honor Associate Professor Dr.Tassana Boontong for her great contributions to nursing education in Thailand and Asia, explore the essence of transforming nursing education and global health as well as how to integrate in nursing curriculum, exhibit innovations of nursing education from nursing schools in Asia and identify opportunities for collaborations to promote quality of nursing education in Asia.
