Students welfare and the quality of life of nursing students

Health Care: every student is entitled for the university health care service. First year students, studying at Salaya campus, can use the health care service at the Kanchanapisak medical centre at Salaya campus and at Phutthamonton Hospital. Second year students, studying at Salaya campus and at Siriraj campus, can use health care service at Siriraj Hospital , Bangkok Noi and fourth and fifth year students, studying at Siriraj campus, can receive health care service at Siriraj Hospital , Bangkok Noi

Financial support for tuition fee and living cost for students having financial problems

     Student Financial Aid: Students with financial problems are able to apply for financial support though the Division of Students Development. These funds are granted by Thai Government, Mahidol Foundation, Faculty of Nursing Foundation, Alumni, and other agencies and resources.

     Awards: Several awards and certificates are granted to honor students, such as diligent students , public recognition students , and Thai cultural representatives, etc

We provide adequate number of rooms in dormitories with convenient amenities and facilities under the friendly environment to all nursing students at Bangkunnon Domitory, Faculty of Nursing , Mahidol University.  The dormitories are administered by the head of student accommodation section, dormitory committee, and accommodation advisor.

Location

The dormitory, Faculty of Nursing is suitated on 2.4 acres and located at Bangkoonnon Road, Bangkokonoi District, Bangkok which is five kilometers from the school. The nursing dormitory provided an auditorium, conference rooms, a room for religious activities, and a student clubroom.   

   

Transportation

Public transportation from the Faculty of Nursing to the nursing dormitory and other places are available almost 24 hours a day. Time consuming of journey between dormitory and Faculty of Nursing was fifteen minutes. There were many vehicles for journey such as: Bus No.79, Bus No.57, and Minibus.

 

           
Rooms
The nursing dormitory provided 4 buildings and 9 floors in each building. Three of them have 10 rooms in each floor. The first building is provided for 6 persons in each room.The second and third are provided for 4 persons in each room.

And the fourth building is provided for foreigner which has 7 rooms at 4 to 9 floors and 7 rooms in each floor. Within the room, there are many types of furniture such as single bed, wardrobe, and desk. The rest room, lavatory and launder are shared.

Conveniences
The Faculty dormitory provided an auditorium, conference rooms, dharma room for religious activities, and a student clubroom. Health promotion and academic support facilities include basketball field, fitness center, library, computer room, English club, Thai art and thai musical club. Other facilities are also provided such as microwave on each floor, TV in common room, and karaoke.

Rental Fees
1. Admission fee 500 baht
2. Subscription fee for Thai student
     2.1 Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.N.S.) is about 2,500 baht/semester.
     2.2 Master of Nursing Science (M.N.S.) and Doctor of Philosophy in    
            Nursing (Ph.D.) (International Program) as follow:
            2.2.1 Single room 4,000 baht/month
            2.2.2 Double room 2,000 baht/month
    2.3 Nursing Specialty Programs (4-month Training Programs) as follow:
            2.3.1 Single room 4,000 baht/month
            2.3.2 Double room 2,000 baht/month
3. Subscription fee for foreign teacher and student (Air condition room)
    3.1 Single room 130$ /week or 400$ /month
    3.2 Double room 65$ /week or 200$ /month
4. Subscription fee for foreign lecturer (Air condition room)
    4.1 Single room 300$ /week or 800$ /month
