Abstract Submissions is OPENED.
For authors who have submitted your abstracts, the Scientific Committee are in the midst of reviewing them. We will inform you of the results by April 15, 2012.
Instructions and Guidelines
- General Information
- Submissions are invited for papers and posters with topics related to Women’s Health.
- Abstracts must be submitted according to the instructions below and must be received no later than February 15, 2012. Abstracts submitted after the closing dateline will not be considered.
- All presenting authors, whose abstracts are accepted, MUST be paid registrants no later than
August 15, 2012.
- All abstracts should be submitted using the prescribed Abstract Submission Form.
- Submission Instructions
- Abstracts must be typed in English.
- Title: Use a concise title. Capitalise the first letter of first word and all other words except prepositions, conjunctions, and articles.
- Do not use acronyms, abbreviations, and initials in a title.
- Abstracts: All abstracts must be typed in Times New Roman font size 12 with single spacing, and must fit within the box.
- Text length (not including title and author information) must be not exceed 350 words.
- The purpose of the study, methodology, results and conclusion should be clearly stated.
- References should not be included.
- Abbreviations should only be used for common terms. For uncommon terms, the abbreviation should be given in brackets after the first full use of the word.
- Do not use tables or graphs in the abstracts. All data must be in narrative form.
- Review, Acceptance & Notification
- Receipt of abstract submission will be acknowledged via email.
- The Scientific Committee will review all abstract submissions. Evaluation by the Committee will be based on quality, clarity and relevance for our audience, as well as the significance of the material.
- Presenting authors will be informed via email of the details of presentation including date and time will be notified to author who is presenter only between May and August 2012. Please contact nsicowhi2012@diamond.mahidol.ac.th if you do not receive the notification and information of your presentation after August 2012 .
- Submission of abstracts constitutes the authors’ consent to have the abstracts published in the 19th Congress on Women’s Health 2012 : Partnership for a Brighter Global Future Abstracts Book.
- Abstracts may also be edited for publication.
- Poster Presentation
- Poster Presentation: Poster presenters will be provided with an approximately 95 cm (wide) x 200 cm (high) poster board to display the poster.
- Exact poster specifications and sessions will be included in the Notification of Acceptance.
- Poster presenters are requested to stand by to discuss their posters during the poster sessions. Please take note the poster set-up and removal schedules.
- Poster presenters should use Velcro tapes to fix the poster onto the poster board. The tapes will be provided at the Conference.
- Please note that the organisers will not be liable for any damage or loss to the posters.
- Authors should acknowledge any conflicts of interest/source of funding in the oral or poster presentations.
- Oral Presentation (For Concurrent sesstion)
- The Scientific Committee will invite authors of selected papers to make an oral presentation at the concurrent session.
- Information on oral presentation will be communicated to the authors of the selected papers in the Notification of Acceptance.
- Authors should acknowledge any conflicts of interest/source of funding in the oral or poster presentations.
