On 31 July 2020, Breastfeeding and Child Health Promoting Center on behalf of the Faculty of Nursing Mahidol University hosted an online conference on the occasion of 2020 World Breastfeeding Week with the topic "Support Breastfeeding: For a Healthier Planet". Associate Professor Dr.Yajai Sitthimongkol, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Mahidol University presided over the virtual conference and gave the opening speech. The conference consisted of a panel discussion on: Breastfeeding for Environment with the great honor discussed by Ajarn Sanga Damapong, Advisor to the Department of Health, Ministry of Public Health, together with Chompoonut Topothai, M.D, MPH., MD Senior Professional Level, International Health Policy Program. The discussion was conducted by Associate Professor Kannikar Vichitsukon, President of Lactation Nurse Association of Thailand. The following session is the discussion: Promoting Breastfeeding in the role of nurses by Assistant Professor Dr. Pornnapa Tangsuksan, President of the Breastfeeding and Child Health Promoting Center, along with Ms. Preeyapa Sirilertmakasakul,RN, Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing Division at Siriraj Hospital and Ms. Thochaporn Tesasil, RN, Head of Pediatric Nursing Division at Siriraj Hospital, as a panelists. The discussion was conducted by Dr.Sasitara Nuampa. At the end of the meeting, there was a video presentation of R2R research and innovation. The conference was held at Room 602, Faculty of Nursing. Mahidol University, Bangkok Noi, and also online broadcasted through MS Teams and Facebook, with many interested parties attending the meeting.
