Program Philosophy of Academic Year 2022

Mahidol University's Faculty of Nursing offers a Bachelor of Nursing Science Program that prioritizes learners' learning and learning outcomes. Learners can develop their own knowledge through broadening their understanding, empirical evidence, learning experiences, and practical skills. This is in accordance with Mahidol University's educational philosophy as well as the culture, economics, and society.

The importance of the Program

Due to changes in the population structure, especially the proportion of elderly people is continuously increasing. There has been an increase in chronic non-communicable disease illnesses. People are aware of preventive health care and the advancement of medical treatment technology, The Faculty of Nursing Mahidol University Recognizes the importance of improving the curriculum to produce nurses who can respond to the country's important health problems and is a nurse with the ability to support the aging society and supports patients with chronic non-communicable diseases Including having initiative to create health innovations and being able to use digital technology in health care nursing services communication with patients promoting service recipients to be able to take care of themselves to support the rapid changes occurring in Thailand.

Curriculum Objectives of Academic Year 2022

Program Objectives

Graduates should have the following qualifications after completing the program:

Cognitive domain

  1. Having knowledge of nursing science, midwifery, and associated sciences that is necessary for nursing practice.
  2. Conduct research and innovation to improve the quality of nursing care.
  3. Having knowledge and proficiency in digital technology for systematic review and practice.

Affective domain

Having a positive attitude toward oneself, one's institution, one's profession, and society. Capable of adapting to a changing global society and living in society in accordance with the sufficiency economy principle, as well as making ethical decisions and taking appropriate action.

Social domain

  1. Teamwork and leadership, critical thinking, systematic thinking, and lifelong learning.
  2. Establish relationships among health personnel, the general public, and service users by communicating in both Thai and international languages.

Psychomotor domain

Nursing for service consumers in accordance with professional standards in a holistic manner. Integrating nursing and midwifery sciences, as well as associated sciences, empirical data, and current science, with a focus on humanity. Incorporating cultural differences in morality, ethics, and professional ethics under the relevant legislation.
