On August 31, 2020, on behalf of the Thailand Nursing Honor Society and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and Phi Omega-at-Large Chapter, Faculty of Nursing Mahidol University organized the virtual conference under the topic “Leading Innovation through Nursing Education in New Normal Era” through online system including Microsoft Teams and Facebook Live. Associate Professor Dr. Yajai Sitthimongkol, Dean of Faculty of Nursing Mahidol University, as the President of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Phi Omega-at-Large Chapter) presided over the event. There were special talk by three presenters consisting of:

1. Assistant professor Dr. Anuchai Theeraroungchaisri, Associate Dean in Educational Innovation at Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University lectured on the topic “New Normal New Classroom”.

2. Captain Dr. Kornprom Saengaram, a cardio-vascular thoracic surgeon and a pilot of Thai Airways International Public Company Limited, provided knowledge on the topic “Strengthening Essential Skills in the New Normal Era”.

3. Associate Professor Lydia Siew Tiang LAU, Senior Lecturer: Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore provided knowledge on the topic “Managing Nursing Clinical Practice during COVID-19”.

In accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) number 17 and 4, this virtual conference had been coordinated within a network of cooperation with leading educational institutions both national and international, and the objectives were to provide the opportunity for understanding and knowledge about the nursing education management and to inspire on social skill development of nursing students in the new normal era.
