Organized the activity “The Project to Develop Leadership Capacities of Migrant Workers to Promote Health and Disease Prevention among Migrant Workers with Integrated Academic Services and Teaching” for migrant workers.


Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University organized the activity “The Project to Develop Leadership Capacities of Migrant Workers to Promote Health and Disease Prevention among Migrant Workers with Integrated Academic Services and Teaching” for migrant workers. It was conducted by a collaboration of Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University including Assisted Professor Dr. Rudee Pungbangkadee (a project responsible person) together with faculty members from Department of Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing, Department of Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing, and Department of Public Health Nursing, and Division of Academic Services.

The event was held at Thai-Mon Learning Center, Pom Wichian Temple, Muang District, Samut Sakhon Province. There were 23 participated trainees, 40 migrant workers, and 16 undergraduate students. The training was organized during 26 July 2020 - 13 September 2020 with aims to develop knowledge and skills of health care for migrants and their families, as well as to work in connection with the area network partners including Samut Sakhon Hospital, Proud Association, Raks Thai Foundation, and Samut Sakhon Provincial Chamber of Commerce for continually enhancing the health promotion of migrant workers in Thailand.
