Faculty of Nursing Joins Thailand Quality Award 2020


On February 5, 2021, Associate Professor Dr. Yajai Sitthimongkol, Dean of Faculty of Nursing Mahidol University, together with Associate Professor Dr. Somsiri Rungamornrat, Associate Dean for Quality Development, and Associate Professor Dr.Ameporn Ratinthorn, Head of the Department of Obstetric and Gynaecological Nursing, attended the press conference of the 2020 Thailand Quality Award organized by the Thailand Productivity Institute, Ministry of Industry. The Faculty of Nursing passed the evaluation criteria for the global standard award “Thailand Quality Class (TQC)” in 2020. The Dean expressed gratitude and stated the factor of success in driving the organization consistent with the criteria of the 2020 Thailand Quality Award. The event took place at Ballroom 2, 4th Floor, InterContinental Bangkok Hotel.

“Thailand Quality Class” (TQC) is an award that gives precedence to the excellent management system in order to develop competitiveness in business into international standards. TQC has criteria that are adjusted according to the world situation by referring to Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA) in order to conform with the drive towards Industry 4.0 in Thailand. Faculty of Nursing Mahidol University has applied guidelines of the Thailand Quality Award (TQA) in planning, developing, and managing the organization continuously, as well as for integrating work in every mission of the Faculty such as Education, Research, and Academic Services by providing information to staffs and constantly promoting work quality development in order to increase the effectiveness of the organization's operations. With all operations in the organization, the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, eventually received the global standard award “Thailand Quality Class (TQC)” in 2020 given by Thailand Productivity Institute, Ministry of Industry.
