Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, attended the opening ceremony of the APAHL 2021 Online Forum.


On September 18, 2021, Associate Professor Dr. Yajai Sitthimongkol, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, attended the opening ceremony of the APAHL 2021 Online Forum, hosted by Yamaguchi University, Japan. The meetings will be conducted with 4 sub-activities held between September - December 2021 via Zoom Cloud Meetings.

This year's forum, organized under the theme "Improving preparedness and response for future pandemics", aims to promote mutual relationships and exchange of knowledge in academic, cultural, and experiences. Moreover, it is to enhance nursing and health sciences professional and research development in the Asian region. There will be group activities to let students brainstorm ideas and exchange knowledge with each other. Assistant Professor Dr. Sirada Kesornsri, Associate Dean for International Relations, and Lecturer Dr. Rungnapa Ruchob from Department of Obstetric and Gynecological Nursing of the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, join as group facilitators to give advice to students.

There are 10 undergraduate students from the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, selected to be the faculty’s representatives to participate in this year's activities. The names are as follows.

All attendees consisted of health science students and lecturers from leading universities in many countries, including Mahidol University and Chiang Mai University from Thailand, Ewha Woman's University from South Korea, Yamaguchi University from Japan, Universiti Sains Malaysia from Malaysia, and The University of Hong Kong from Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. This forum is considered an international collaboration to enhance students’ qualities and 21st-century skills and to foster and strengthen global partnerships, which is in line with Sustainable Development Goals 17 (SDGs 17).
