The Virtual Academic Conference “Breast Milk Insufficiency Management: Knowledge to Practice”


On September 18, 2021, Breastfeeding and Child Health Promoting Center on behalf of the Faculty of Nursing Mahidol University hosted an online conference titled “Breast Milk Insufficiency Management: Knowledge to Practice” via Zoom Meeting. Associate Professor Dr.Yajai Sitthimongkol, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Mahidol University, gave opening remarks. In this event, there were many expert speakers joining to give information in the following topics.

The presentation on the topic "The Perception of Insufficient Milk Supply and The Right Help" by Assistance Professor Dr.Wanna Phahuwatanakorn, the committee member of Breastfeeding and Child Health Promoting Center. Next, Assistant Professor Dr. Pornnapa Tangsuksan, President of the Breastfeeding and Child Health Promoting Center, delivered the knowledge on the topic “Psychological Effects and Voices of Mothers”. Lecturer Dr.Sasitara Nuampa, Assistant Dean for Research, gave the presentation on the topic “Guidelines for Breast Milk Insufficiency Management by Evidence-Based Practice”. The last one was the presentation on the topic “Breast Massage: The Alternative to Increase Milk Production” given by Mrs. Wassana Ngamkarn, Registered Nurse and Deputy Director of Nursing Department, Prapokklao Hospital. The aim of this academic conference was to provide nurses with accurate and up-to-date knowledge to properly solve breastfeeding problems for mothers, and parents in families.
