The MU-JHU NCDs Research Collaborative Center Organizes the 4th Webinar Meeting with the Theme “Palliative care in non-malignant patient”


On November 30, 2021, the MU-JHU NCDs Research Collaborative Center, on behalf of the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, organized its fourth webinar online meeting with the theme “Palliative care in non-malignant patient”. The objective of this activity was to exchange knowledge about palliative care for patients with non-cancer diseases.

In this virtual event, there were three main speakers including 1) Professor Patricia M. Davidson PhD, MEd, RN, FAAN จาก University of Wollongong 2) Lecturer Dr. Pattaranuch Witoonsakul from the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, Thailand, and 3) Professor Jane Phillips, PhD, BSc, PGDip, RN, FACN from Faculty of Health, School of Nursing, Queensland University of Technology. Lecturer Dr. Thitipong Tankumpuan, Director of the MU-JHU NCDs Research Collaborative Center, also joined as the moderator.

This webinar meeting had more than 150 registrants from various organizations, hospitals, educational institutions in various countries including Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam Indonesia and India. It is a cooperation for sustainable development according to the Sustainable Development Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) which supports global cooperation to foster sustainable development in research and health sciences.

The Center has scheduled the 5th Webinar Meeting to be held on February 15, 2022, under the theme “The burden of sexual health in patients with non-communicable diseases”.
