On January 8, 2022, the Faculty of Nursing’s Division of Education Services in cooperation with Department of Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing, organized the activity “Empathic Listening Workshop” under the title “Finding Understanding Through Empathic Listening” as the first round. Associate Professor Dr. Yajai Sitthimongkol, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Mahidol University, presided over the opening ceremony. The workshop was hosted and moderated by Assistant Professor Dr. Walailak Pumpuang, along with Associate Professor, Dr. Phuangphet Kaesornsamut (Head of the Department of Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing), Associate Professor Dr. Nopporn Vongsirimas (Associate Dean for Research), Assistant Professor Dr. Sirada Kesornsri (Associate Dean for International Relations), Associate Professor Dr. Wareerat Thanoi, and Assistant Professor Sathaka Pimroon.

This activity was held online through a Zoom meeting system. This activity aimed to enable teachers to listen, understand, and accept the characteristics of Gen Z learners; as well as, encouraged teachers to have a coaching skill and to promote the quality of teaching and learning management, both theoretical and practical, to be more effective. Moreover, this activity encouraged teachers to have a teacher spirit and can inspire learners to have continuous learning to achieve course learning outcomes and curriculum learning outcomes.
