The MU-JHU NCDs Research Collaborative Center Organizes the 5th Webinar Meeting with the Theme “Sexual Health in Patients with Non-communicable Diseases”


On February 15, 2022, the MU-JHU NCDs Research Collaborative Center, on behalf of the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, organized its fifth webinar online meeting with the theme “Sexual Health in Patients with Non-communicable Diseases”. The objective of this activity was to exchange knowledge about sexual health issues in NCDs patients.

In this virtual event, there were three main speakers including 1) Associate Professor Caleb Ferguson, PhD, RN from School of Nursing, University of Wollongong, presenting on the topic “Sexual Health After Stroke”, 2) Associate Professor Dr. Usavadee Asdornwised from the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, presenting on the topic “Sexual Health in Surgical Patients”, and 3) John Rihari-Thomas, PhD, RN from School of Nursing, University of Wollongong, presenting on the topic “Approaching the Difficult Conversation”. This time, Lecturer Dr. Rungnapa Ruchob from the MU-JHU NCDs Research Collaborative Center, took part as the moderator.

This webinar meeting had more than 100 registrants from various organizations, hospitals, educational institutions in various countries such as Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Indonesia, and China. It is a cooperation for sustainable development according to the Sustainable Development Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) which supports global cooperation to foster sustainable development in research and health sciences.

The Center has scheduled the 6th Webinar Meeting to be held in April, under the theme “Current Challenges and Management of Non-Communicable Diseases in Older Adults”.
