On August 6, 2022, the Breastfeeding and Child Health Promoting Center and Academic Services, on behalf of the Faculty of Nursing Mahidol University, hosted the virtual academic conference on the occasion of 2022 World Breastfeeding Week on the topic “Moving forward to Breastfeeding Way: Empowering, Building Knowledge”. Associate Professor Dr. Yajai Sitthimongkol, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Mahidol University presided over the virtual conference and gave the opening speech.

The conference consisted of information sharing on four issues including 1) Topic “Empowering – Building Knowledge to Promote Sustainable Breastfeeding” by Assistant Professor Dr. Pornnapa Tangsuksan, President of the Breastfeeding and Child Health Promoting Center, Faculty of Nursing Mahidol University, 2) Topic “Health Knowledge” by Associate Professor Dr. Chanuanthong Thanasukarn, former Dean of the Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University and Director of the Mahanakhon Health Promotion Center (MCU), 3) Topic “Access to Breastfeeding Support Resources for Nurses and Public” by Associate Professor Dr. Somsiri Rungamornrat, Associate Dean for Quality Development, Faculty of Nursing Mahidol University, and 4) Topic “Understanding and Decision Making in Health Information Selection” by Kanlaya Toyaidee, RN, owner of the page “พี่กัลนมแม่” and registered nurse from Rayong Hospital. The conference was conducted and broadcasted via Zoom Meeting and Facebook Live.
