Faculty Members and Students Attend the Meeting 'Developing Potential of Nursing Student Clubs to Create a Smoke-Free Thai Society: Knowledge of New Tobacco Products and Roles of Nursing Students and Teachers in Helping'


The Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University developed the potential of faculty members and students to be leaders in creating a smoke-free Thai society the development standards for smoke-free higher education institutions. On January 28-29, 2023, Assistant Professor Dr. Rudee Pungbangkadee, along with Assistant Professor Sathaka Pimroon, Ms. Nattah Puthson, and Ms. Jitima Teungjorhor, second year students from the Bachelor of Nursing Science Program, attended the meeting "Developing Potential of Nursing Student Clubs to Create a Smoke-Free Thai Society: Knowledge of New Tobacco Products and Roles of Nursing Students and Teachers in Helping". The meeting was organized by the Nurse Network on Tobacco Control of Thailand at the Maruay Garden Hotel, Bangkok. In the meeting, there was activities to educate people on ‘Learning New Tobacco Products, E-Cigarettes, and Cigarette Companies’ Tricks’ and “Trick to Target: (Not) Secret Tips to Quit Smoking”. Nursing educators exchanged knowledge and created a network to develop the potential of the nursing student clubs to create a smoke-free Thai society in the future.
