Between February 19th - 23rd, 2023, Faculty of Nursing Mahidol University delegates including 1) Associate Professor Dr. Yajai Sitthimongkol, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, 2) Associate Professor Dr. Tassanee Prasopkittikun, Associate Dean for Graduate Studies, 3) Assistant Professor Dr.Ruttanaporn Kongkar, Associate Dean for Education, and 4) Assistant Professor Dr. Sirada Kesornsri, Associate Dean for International Relations, visited universities in Taiwan R.O.C including National Taiwan University in Taipei, National Cheng Kung University in Tainan, and Kaohsiung Medical University in Kaohsiung. The purpose is to discuss about the collaboration in education, research, and student exchange in order to promote and expand cooperation as well as strengthening the relationship for sustainable cooperation.
On February 20th, 2023, the delegates visited School of Nursing, National Taiwan University College of Medicine (NTUCM) in Taipei for having a group discussion with NTUCM executives and signing Memorandum of Agreement. The purpose of the MOA is to expand the cooperation network between the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University for promoting joint research collaboration and supporting exchange programs for students and faculty members of both two institutions. The MOA was signed by Associate Professor Dr. Yajai Sitthimongkol, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Mahidol University, and Professor Dr. Wen-Yu Hu, Director of School of Nursing, National Taiwan University College of Medicine. There were also executives from NTUCM joining as witnesses.
Fostering cooperation with partners of overseas educational institutions will encourage students and faculty members to have the opportunity to exchange academic, professional and cultural knowledge in order to gain experiences and good relationships between each other, which will be the power of the profession in moving towards to the goals set by Mahidol University and will achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN), which is an important driving policy of Mahidol University.
