Between March 21 and 25, 2023, Assistant Professor Dr. Sasitara Nuampa, Assistant Dean for Research of the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, together with a team of nurses from the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, jointly organized a workshop in Module 4: Nursing Care Management in High-Risk Pregnancy and Critical Neonatal Care, which is under the project ‘Intensive Training for Continuing-Care System for High-risk Pregnancy: Phase 1’. The activity took place at Mahosot Hospital, Lao People's Democratic Republic. There were nurses and midwives from 5 hospitals: Mahosot Hospital, Mittaphaph Hospital, Sethatilath Hospital, Mother and Child Hospital, and Child Hospital, participating in the activity.
The objective was to strengthen nursing competencies in terms of knowledge, attitudes and skills for continuous care management of high-risk pregnant women and critical newborns. The project was funded by The Rockefeller Foundation under the Capacity Building for Sustainable Future in Developing Regions program. With all the supportive alliances from the organization at national and international levels, this project has aligned with the Sustainable Development Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) which supports global cooperation to foster sustainable development in research and health sciences.
