On June 5, 2024, Associate Professor Weeraya Jungsomjatepaisal, Associate Dean for Administration, and staff from the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, participated in a tree-planting activity in celebration of Environment Day 2024. This event aimed to increase green spaces as a source of carbon dioxide absorption within the university, and to supported efforts towards achieving Net Zero Emission by 2030. In addition, it also aimed to enhance the ecological balance of the habitat for living organisms and to promote the conservation of natural resources and the environment within Mahidol University, contributing to sustainable development. The activity took place at the front yard of Establishment of Mahidol University Bio-industrial Development Center, Mahidol University, Salaya.
The Faculty of Nursing has a policy to support faculty and students in recognizing the benefits of energy conservation and actively participating in restoring and revitalizing natural resources. This initiative also promotes the "NS Go Green" values, encouraging awareness and participation in environmental care activities, aligning with the theme "Land Restoration, Desertification & Drought Resilience" and the campaign slogan for this year, "Our land. Our future. We are #GenerationRestoration."
