On December 27, 2024, the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, hosted the closing ceremony and certificate presentation for the first Program of Nursing Specialty in Nursing Case Management for One Day Surgery/Minimally Invasive Surgery in Thailand.
Assistant Professor Phichet Wongrot, Associate Dean for Academic Services and Policy Advocacy, delivered the program report, and Professor Dr.Usavadee Asdornwised, announced the names of the 28 graduates. Associate Professor Dr.Ameporn Ratinthorn, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, presided over the ceremony, congratulating the graduates. The event was attended by Ms. Oraporn Damrongwattanakul, RN, Deputy Head of the Department of Nursing (Academic Unit), Siriraj Hospital, and other distinguished guests from the hospital’s nursing division. The event, held in Room 301, Faculty of Nursing, Bangkok Noi campus, aligned with the Faculty of Nursing’s 2025–2028 strategic plan to promote innovative health system transformation.
The Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, is the first institution in Thailand to offer the Program of Nursing Specialty in Nursing Case Management for One Day Surgery/Minimally Invasive Surgery. This program aims to keep pace with the rapid advancements in surgical technology, accommodate the increasing number of surgical procedures, and reduce unnecessary surgical wait times. Graduates of the program will apply their knowledge and skills to effectively care for surgical patients, ensuring optimal outcomes and minimizing postoperative complications.
