On May 1, 2025, at 8:00 PM (Bangkok time), Associate Professor Dr. Ameporn Ratinthorn, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, Co-Chair of the Executive Committee of the Global Network of World Health Organisation Collaborating Centres for Nursing and Midwifery Development (GNWHOCCNM) and representative of WHOCCNM SEARO, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Supapak Phetrasuwan, Associate Dean for International Relations and Communications, participated in the GNWHOCCNM Executive Committee Meeting #2 of 2025 via Zoom Meeting.

The purpose of this meeting was to foster collaboration among GNWHOCCNM members, monitor the progress of WHO Collaborating Centres for Nursing and Midwifery across regions, and support the advancement of nursing and midwifery on a global scale. Key agenda items included updates on the upcoming LINKS Magazine Volume 19, progress of the State of the World’s Nursing 2025 (SOWN 2025) report, planning for the GNWHOCCNM Meeting at the ICN Congress 2025 in Helsinki, discussions on the recent USA administration decisions regarding WHO, and the GNWHOCCNM Secretariat Election. The meeting brought together representatives from WHOCCNM in various regions, as well as delegates from WHO Headquarters and leading global professional organizations such as the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM), Midwifery Network, and Johns Hopkins School of Nursing.

The participation of Mahidol University’s Faculty of Nursing in this significant global forum underscores its academic leadership and commitment to the sustainable development of the nursing and midwifery professions worldwide.
