Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, Advances Graduate Curriculum Development with a Focus on Outcome-Based Curriculum to Meet the Needs of Modern Learners


On May 26–27, 2025, the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, held an intensive seminar on the Master of Nursing Science curriculum at Meeting Room 217, Salaya Campus. The seminar aimed to redesign the curriculum following the principles of an Outcome-Based Curriculum, focusing on learning outcomes as a priority. The goal is to prepare the curriculum and teaching strategies for the 2027 academic year to align with the evolving needs of modern learners.

The seminar began with an insightful presentation by Associate Professor Dr.Aurawamon Sriyuktasuth, Associate Dean for Graduate Studies, who provided an overview of the program’s progress over the past five years. She highlighted key challenges and offered recommendations for future improvements.

A highlight of the event was the panel discussion on "Criteria and Guidelines for Course Credit Transfer," featuring Assistant Professor Dr. Orlatcha Siwarak, Associate Dean for Education and Academic Development, Faculty of Graduate Studies along with a team of staff from the Graduate School. The session facilitated in-depth discussions and clarified key issues.

The seminar concluded with a brainstorming session, where faculty members collaboratively designed teaching and learning strategies for the revised curriculum. This two-day event reflected the Faculty of Nursing’s strong commitment to enhancing the quality of its academic programs and preparing graduates to meet the future challenges of the nursing profession.
