On May 29, 2025 – The Faculty of Nursing at Mahidol University marked World No Tobacco Day 2025 with a strong stance against e-cigarette use among youth. Led by Assistant Professor Dr.Penchan Sittipreechachan, Assistant Dean for Student Development joined the “Siriraj World No Tobacco Day Campaign,” organized in collaboration with the Siriraj Center for Health Promotion and the Siriraj Cancer Center.
Under the theme “University Youth Against E-Cigarettes,” Mahidol nursing faculty and students launched a public awareness booth aimed at educating young people on the health and social dangers of vaping. The initiative reflects the faculty’s proactive role in health promotion and its commitment to sustainable public health, aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being.
Nurses took center stage as advocates and protectors of youth, emphasizing their role not just in healthcare, but in shaping a healthier, tobacco-free future for the next generation.
