Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University warmly welcomed international exchange students and officially launched the course “NSID 232 Cultural Diversity and Health Care” for the academic year 2025.


On June 30, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Ameporn Ratinthorn, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, warmly welcomed international exchange students at the opening session of the course “NSID 232 Cultural Diversity and Health Care”. She was joined by Assistant Professor Dr.Supapak Phetrasuwan, Associate Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication, along with the course teaching team. Held from June 30 to July 9, 2025, at the Salaya Campus, this course is conducted in English and is offered to both Thai and international exchange students. The course is co-taught by faculty members from the Faculty of Nursing and Universitas Indonesia. It aims to provide students with knowledge and understanding of professional practices in health-related fields, including roles and responsibilities, communication, teamwork, and health care planning for culturally diverse populations. The course also supports SDG Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, by fostering international collaboration in education. Through academic partnerships with leading institutions worldwide, the course empowers students to generate new knowledge and enhance their personal and professional development for the future. This year, 56 students are enrolled in the course, comprising students from Mahidol University’s Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Indonesia (Republic of Indonesia), Kaohsiung Medical University (Republic of China – Taiwan), Huazhong University of Science & Technology (People’s Republic of China), The University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong SAR, China), and Universitas Gadjah Mada (Republic of Indonesia).

As part of the welcome program, students visited the Royal Archives of Queen Sri Savarindira” “Royal Archives of Prince Mahidol of Songkla-Princess Srinagarindra” at the Faculty of Nursing, Salaya Campus, and enjoyed a tram tour of Mahidol University’s Salaya campus to experience its vibrant and green environment.
