From June 28 to 30, 2025, Assistant Professor Phichet Wongrot, Associate Dean for Academic Services and Policy Advocacy, Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, participated in the “Mahidol for Change: Batch 1 (Mahidol Change Agent #1)” workshop held at Damnoenphawa, Samut Songkhram Province. The program was organized to develop change leaders within the university who can play a significant role in driving societal transformation and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A total of 57 participants from various faculties and departments took part in the workshop. The training focused on cultivating exemplary leaders who create positive social impact through participatory learning processes, systems thinking, and the practical design of change initiatives that can be implemented in real-world settings.
The Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, recognizes its role in fostering a healthy society, particularly in promoting public health and quality of life. This aligns with the Faculty’s academic service mission, which emphasizes community engagement and tangible outcomes. The Faculty is committed to supporting the university’s policy to be a “Leader of Change” by integrating nursing knowledge, research, and collaborative networks into the design and implementation of academic service projects that effectively address pressing social issues, contributing to the sustainable development of Thai society.
