On July 1, 2024, from 07.00 to 07.30 a.m., Associate Professor Dr. Ameporn Ratinthorn, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, presided over the ceremonial event "From the Embrace of Teachers to the Embrace of Nurses." During the ceremony, she delivered a heartfelt message and extended her blessings to the new graduate nurses. The event was organized to uplift and encourage Bachelor of Nursing Science graduates of the 2024 academic year as they officially begin their first day in the nursing profession. The ceremony was held simultaneously at the Division of Nursing, Siriraj Hospital; the Hospital for Tropical Diseases; and the Golden Jubilee Medical Center, Mahidol University. It was also joined by Professor Dr. Yongyudh Sirivatanakul, Director of Siriraj Hospital; Head Nurse Thachaporn Thetsasilp, Head of the Nursing Division at Siriraj Hospital; Head Nurse Kongkaew Yuanbunleum, Head of the Nursing Division at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases; and Head Nurse Chosita Kaewkaset, Deputy Head of the Nursing Division for Academic Affairs and Informatics at the Golden Jubilee Medical Center. Executives and faculty members of the Faculty of Nursing also participated in the event, which took place at the Multipurpose Area, Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, Bangkok Noi campus.
This meaningful activity symbolized the passing on of love and the deep bond between teachers and students. It reflected the faculty’s pride in shaping nursing graduates who serve the nation with dedication. It also embodied the core value “N – Noble” of the Faculty of Nursing, which emphasizes upholding the royal address of Her Majesty Queen Sripatcharinthra, the Royal Matron of Thai Nurses, who stated: “Nursing is not only beneficial to healthcare alone; it also contributes to the prosperity of our nation.” This ceremony marked a beautiful new beginning as graduates carry forward their knowledge, compassion, and skills to serve the nursing profession and advance the well-being of Thai society in a sustainable way.
