On September 3, 2025, the Administration Department, Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus, sparked creativity through the activity “Workshop DIY Upcycle: Transforming Plastic Bottle Caps”, as part of the NS MEE-D Project. This initiative was supported by Mahidol University’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Living Lab Funding (SLF) 2025, a program designed to promote sustainability through “Living Lab” projects. The workshop aimed to foster environmental awareness and encourage waste utilization, in response to the growing global plastic waste crisis. The event attracted active participation from both staff and students of the Faculty. The activity featured idea-sharing sessions on environmental conservation and global warming mitigation. Participants were guided to upcycle used plastic bottle caps into stylish and eco-friendly items such as cute keychains, coasters, and multipurpose holders, allowing everyone to express their creativity through simple, sustainable craftmaking. Additionally, the event showcased an informative exhibition on “orphan waste” and organized a waste separation activity to promote proper waste management and raise awareness of sustainable practices within the faculty and the university community. The workshop took place at Room 216, Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus, representing a small yet powerful step that reflected the collective commitment of faculty members and students to protect the environment and combat global warming—one creative act at a time.
