On September 6, 2025, the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, organized the closing ceremony of the “Workshop for Caregivers of Dependent Older Adults” Project 2025 for both cohorts, held with honor at the Dr. Tassana Boonthong Conference Room, Faculty of Nursing Dormitory, Bang Khun Non. The ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Ameporn Ratinthorn, Dean of Faculty of Nursing, who presented certificates of completion and congratulated the participants. Associate Professor Dr. Saovaros Meekusol, Deputy Head of the Department of Public Health Nursing, delivered the project report, and Assistant Professor Dr. Nantakarn Maneejak, Assistant Dean for Educational Innovation and Information, read the list of certificate recipients.

This project was supported by the Bangkok Metropolitan Health Insurance Fund, Bangkok Noi District, with the primary aim of enhancing the quality of care for dependent older adults. It focused on developing caregivers’ knowledge, understanding, and proper skills to enable them to provide appropriate assistance, including assessment and basic emergency care, while also building a strong network of caregivers for consultation and referral of older adults with health issues to the Community and Midwifery Nursing Clinic, Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University (Warm Community Nursing Clinic).

The clinic was established as a health service hub for local communities, increasing accessibility to care and alleviating hospital overcrowding. It also serves as a practical training site for students and a platform for faculty expertise development, aiming to strengthen and sustain primary care services. The project aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Goal 3, “Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.”
