Mahidol University Dean Delivers Keynote at UT Austin Endowed Lectureship Symposium


On September 24, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Ameporn Ratinthorn, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University was honored as a distinguished speaker at the 2nd Annual State of Nursing Science: Endowed Lectureship Symposium, hosted by the University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing. Associate Professor Dr. Ameporn delivered a keynote address on “Leading the Future of Nursing: Driving Value, Innovation, and Lasting Impact”, highlighting the pivotal role of nursing leadership in shaping healthcare through innovation, evidence-based practice, and global collaboration. Her presentation emphasized the importance of preparing nursing professionals to address complex health challenges while promoting ethical, culturally sensitive, and patient-centered care.

Following the symposium, Dr. Ameporn, along with her leadership team — Associate Professor Dr. Aurawamon Sriyuktasuth (Associate Dean for Graduate Studies), Assistant Professor Dr. Supapak Phetrasuwan (Associate Dean for International Relations and Corporate Communication), and Assistant Professor Dr. Thitipong Tankumpuan (Associate Dean for Research) — engaged in a productive meeting with UT Austin School of Nursing leaders to explore opportunities for academic collaboration, faculty and student exchanges, and joint research initiatives.

This engagement further strengthens Faculty of Nursing’s commitment to fostering international partnerships by building meaningful collaborations with leading global institutions, promoting cross-cultural exchange of knowledge, and advancing nursing education and research. Through such initiatives, the Faculty of Nursing aims to contribute to the development of innovative practices, evidence-based care, and leadership in nursing that can have a lasting impact both regionally and globally.
