Doctor of Nursing Science Program
Admission Requirements
- Candidate must hold a Master's degree in nursing with GPA no less than 3.50 on a 4.00 scale;
- Currently hold RN license in his or her own country;
- Pass English Proficiency Examination with the following criteria

- Candidate who holds a Master's degree in related fields should attend at least two courses in nursing (Nursing theory course and Advanced Clinical Nursing course) and presents the proof of attending those courses with the application;
- For those who were not required to conduct a thesis for completion of master's program, they must have research publication in peer-reviewed journals;
Any case that is NOT included by the criteria above shall be under the consideration of the Program Administrative Committee and the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
- Pass written examination and/or interview arranged by the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
- Write a Statement of Professional Goals including, but not limited to, motivation for doctoral study, career goal and focus of doctoral research.
- Submit at least one example of their scholarly writing (published or unpublished). Example should demonstrate the conceptual as well as technical aspects of applicant's writing ability.
- Letters of recommendation from three persons knowledgeable about the applicant's potential in research and scholarly work. (The recommenders should include the applicant's employer, a former advisor, and a colleague).
