Master of Nursing Science Program in Adult and Gerontological Nursing


Program Philosophy 2022-2026

The Master of Nursing Science Program in Adult and Gerontological Nursing in 2020 focuses on student achievement using learning as the center so that students can integrate nursing and other disciplines knowledge related to well-being or complex health problems in adults and older persons in order to apply nursing practice, leadership skills, teamwork, evidence-based practice, innovation development, and research development leading to improved continuous and sustainable nursing quality as well as promote and enhance well-being for adults, older persons, and their families.

Program Objectives

At the end of the course the graduate students will have qualifications in accordance with graduate qualification standards as follows:

  1. Having morals and ethics both academically and professionally in adult and geriatric nursing.
  2. Explain principles and theories related to nursing science, trends in health problems of the population and knowledge in adults and gerontological nursing
  3. Analyze, synthesize, criticize, solve problems in adult and gerontological nursing, propose ideas, create innovations new knowledge message, research in adult and gerontological nursing by using the nursing research process correctly
  4. Responsibility towards oneself and the public, having leadership and being able to work with multidisciplinary and health networks effectively.
  5. Analyze, interpret and manage numerical and statistical data. for use in nursing adults and the elderly Communicate effectively with different groups of people. both in academic and professional circles including the general community and use information technology appropriately

Expected Learning Outcomes of the Programs

The ELOs of the revised curriculum of the program for academic year 2022-2026 are as follows:

  1. Integrate of nursing science-related disciplines and empirical evidence in order to address health issues and promote health concerns in adults and older persons while adhering to morality, ethics and professional standards.
  2. Conduct research works on health promotion and complex health issues in adults and older persons with numerical analysis and information technology skills.
  3. Exchange of academic information and research findings with healthcare professionals with good communication abilities, oral presentations or dissemination through academic conferences or academic journals.
  4. Develop innovation to improve the quality of adult nursing care.
  5. Demonstrate leadership performance in interdisciplinary teams.
