ศูนย์ส่งเสริมการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่และสุขภาพเด็กปฐมวัย คณะพยาบาลศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ประเทศไทย ร่วมกับสมาคมพยาบาลนมแม่ประเทศไทย ได้จัดการประชุมวิชาการ ระหว่างวันที่ 16–18 กรกฎาคม 2568 ในหัวข้อ “ความท้าทายของการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่ในโลกหลากมิติ: บทบาทของพยาบาล” เพื่อร่วมเฉลิมฉลองสัปดาห์นมแม่โลกในช่วงวันที่ 1-7 สิงหาคม ของทุกปี การประชุมนี้ได้นำดำเนินการโดย ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.พรนภา ตั้งสุขสันต์ซึ่งเป็นประธานศูนย์ฯ และนายกสมาคมพยาบาลนมแม่ประเทศไทย การประชุมตลอด 3 วันนี้มุ่งเน้นการสร้างระบบสนับสนุนที่ยั่งยืน แก้ไขความเหลื่อมล้ำด้านสุขภาพ และเสริมพลังให้แก่พยาบาลด้วยองค์ความรู้และทักษะปฏิบัติที่ทันสมัย

กิจกรรมประกอบด้วยการบรรยายพิเศษโดยวิทยากรหลัก การเสวนาโดยผู้เชี่ยวชาญ การนำเสนอการปฏิบัติบนหลักฐานเชิงประจักษ์ และการฝึกเพื่อเพิ่มและปรับทักษะ การประชุมครั้งนี้มีเป้าหมายเพื่อให้การดำเนินงานด้านการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่ของประเทศสอดคล้องกับเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน (SDGs) เสริมความเข้มแข็งให้กับบทบาทของพยาบาลและผดุงครรภ์ และส่งเสริมการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่อย่างเท่าเทียมในโรงพยาบาล ชุมชน และสถานที่ทำงาน มีผู้เข้าร่วมการประชุมจำนวน 215 คนจากทั่วประเทศ นอกจากนี้ รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.สุดาภรณ์ พยัคฆเรือง ได้ดำเนินการส่งข้อมูลการจัดกิจกรรมไปยัง World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) จนคณะพยาบาลศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดลได้รับประกาศนียบัตรในการร่วมกิจกรรมการเฉลิมฉลองสัปดาห์นมแม่โลกจาก WABA.

The Breastfeeding and Child Health Promoting Center, Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, Thailand, together with the Lactation Nurse Association of Thailand, organized an academic conference from 16–18 July 2025 under the theme “The Challenges of Breastfeeding in a Complex World: Nurse’s Role” to celebrate the annual World Breastfeeding Week (WBW) held between August 1–7. The event was led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Pornnapa Tangsuksan, Director of the Center and President of the Lactation Nurse Association of Thailand. This three-day conference focused on building sustainable support systems, addressing health inequities, and empowering nurses with updated knowledge and practical skills. Activities included keynote lectures, expert panel discussions, evidence-based practice presentations, and upskilling–reskilling workshops.

The event aimed to align national breastfeeding initiatives with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), strengthen the roles of nurses and midwives, and promote equitable breastfeeding across hospitals, communities, and workplaces. A total of 215 participants from across the country, including nurses and other healthcare professionals, attended the conference. In addition, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sudaporn Payakkaraung submitted the event details to the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA), resulting in the Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, receiving a certificate of participation in the World Breastfeeding Week celebration from WABA.
